Project & Events

Projects and Events

The Newbury Group has a long history of success in managing projects and events. We hope these answers to frequently asked questions will be helpful.

What do you mean by projects?

Most organisations find it necessary from time to time to implement new business strategies or influence behavioural change. This might be internal (organisational structures, employees at any level) or external (stakeholders, suppliers, distributors, customers). Our involvement with you can be from the outset where the key issues are identified, analysed and then taken through processes to find and implement the most appropriate solutions. Our range of skills development processes help groups and individuals manage and interact through the project.

We also support organisations to communicate on an on-going basis during the project and deliver final outcomes through the most appropriate medium, be it a conference, meeting, awayday, briefing, media interview or web event.

Why do we need help?

Pressure on resources, time and costs can often adversely affect the quality of the project. This can result in a lack of focus, have little relevance to the organisation and not generate any incentive to adopt change.

What can the Newbury Group do for me?

We can help you maximise the return on your investment in your projects. You want to be sure that the time, effort and financial commitment you put into a project achieve meaningful results. Those involved also need to feel that their input is worthwhile.

How will you do that?

Projects, whether an investigation of current practice, change programmes or a major communication initiative, require careful planning, development, delivery and monitoring. The Newbury Group has tried and tested methodologies which will be adapted to your specific circumstance and provide you with advice, planning, guidance and support to ensure a successful outcome.

How will all of this make a difference?

The benefits of providing a programme which has been developed specifically to meet the needs of your organisation and your specified audience will be extensive. Establishing clear goals will ensure that you use the resources at your disposal to best effect and that you do not waste time on unnecessary activities. Our rigorous quality assurance process will also measure the tangible success of your project and our honest feedback will ensure that your aim of generating sustainable change will be achieved.

SCHOOLS AND LOCAL AUTHORITIES

At this time of change, we recognise that schools and Local Authorities are reviewing the services they provide against a background of increasing fiscal constraints and greater levels of accountability. Our highly experienced team can offer a range of personalised and bespoke services to meet these new and challenging requirements.

We have a large amount of expertise and experience in the field of Children’s Services and Education at both local authority (LA) and school levels. We have developed a range of proven processes and models which we adapt and use in our bespoke consultancy and group sessions.

This work ranges from guiding LAs and schools from goal identification and strategic planning right through to the integration of Performance Management, Standards and School Improvement agendas.

We support clients through the necessary processes to bring about successful change. These processes will ensure that the goals and objectives are clearly defined and that the project has a detailed and realistic plan leading to successful and measurable outcomes. If required, we also help clients develop the necessary skills to communicate outcomes to others.

For LAs our experience includes:

  • Action Assessments
  • Workforce remodelling and Culture Change
  • Planning and detailing change programmes in Children’s Centre provision
  • Extended Services coordination and Sustainability
  • Assessing Study Support programmes
  • Improving dialogue with schools

In schools we support:

  • School Improvement Planning processes
  • Standards and Quality Improvement
  • Core Offer provision and integration into the school offering
  • Ofsted Self Evaluation Form preparation
  • Performance Management
  • Leadership Development
  • Community Integration
  • Pupil personalisation programmes

We use a variety of approaches to working with our clients which are designed to ensure as little disruption to their schedules as possible. Such methods range from one-to-one and group sessions where appropriate right through to personalised on-line and telephone support at a time which suits them.
